Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a significant mental health challenge for individuals who have experienced war. Psychological rehabilitation is essential for restoring their emotional and social well-being. Imagine how many people in Ukraine face the aftermath of traumatic events each day—events that have upended their lives. Our project aims to help restore mental health and renew a person’s belief in their own strength.
The goal of the “Psychological Rehabilitation and Overcoming PTSD” charitable program is to establish rehabilitation centers across Ukraine that will help veterans and civilians cope with the effects of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. The program includes the development of a mobile app for initial diagnostics, as well as an offline center for more in-depth therapy.
The program is designed for war veterans and civilians affected by the war. Anyone who has experienced psychological trauma can receive the necessary support through our program.
The mobile app will serve as the first step in diagnosing PTSD. By incorporating internationally recognized tests, such as the PCL-5 and the Davidson Trauma Scale, each user can independently undergo testing, receive preliminary results, and obtain recommendations. The app creation process is expected to take up to six months.
A psychological rehabilitation center will provide professional assistance to both veterans and civilians. Specialists at the center will use CAPS-5—the gold standard for diagnosing PTSD—along with other methods to develop individualized treatment plans. Such a center can be set up within twelve months.
The project receives active support from the Lithuanian charity fund “Helping War Victims,” which assists those affected by war. Additionally, the project team is working to secure international grants from the European Union and the United States to ensure long-term financial backing and continued development of the initiative.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is a mental condition that develops after severe traumatic events. It affects a person’s ability to function normally, causing insomnia, anxiety, depression, and other adverse effects.
With your support, we can establish a rehabilitation center and provide veterans and civilians with the necessary assistance. Every donation contributes to restoring mental health and strengthening social integration.
You can make an online contribution through our website. In addition, our team is working on securing international grants to expand the project and ensure its long-term operation.
The project aims to stabilize the mental health of those affected by war and facilitate their integration into society. This is significant not only for Ukraine but also for the international community, as a population with stable mental health contributes to peace and well-being.
Anyone affected by the war—both veterans and civilians. Our project is designed for people from all walks of life.
The duration of rehabilitation depends on the severity of a patient’s PTSD. On average, it can range from a few weeks to several months.

The mobile app is the first step in helping people with PTSD. It will be available for download on any smartphone and will include internationally recognized tests such as the PCL-5, IES-R, CAPS-5, and others. After completing these tests, users will receive recommendations on whether further therapy is needed and how it should be organized.
The “Oriental Star” Fund has many years of experience in carrying out humanitarian projects and has earned trust through the transparency and effectiveness of its work. We collaborate with international partners, including the Lithuanian “Helping War Victims” fund, and also attract grant funding from the EU and the United States. We guarantee that every donation you make will be used for good causes.
We anticipate that during the first year of the project, approximately 5,000 people will complete the initial testing through the mobile app, and over 1,000 veterans and civilians will undergo in-depth therapy at the rehabilitation center. Securing international grants will enable us to expand the project and assist even more individuals.
