Psychological rehabilitation and overcoming PTSD

Project Goal: Establishing PTSD rehabilitation centers in Ukraine

Why is psychological rehabilitation important for those affected by war?

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a significant mental health challenge for individuals who have experienced war. Psychological rehabilitation is essential for restoring their emotional and social well-being. Imagine how many people in Ukraine face the aftermath of traumatic events each day—events that have upended their lives. Our project aims to help restore mental health and renew a person’s belief in their own strength.

Stages of program implementation

Mobile App development

The mobile app will serve as the first step in diagnosing PTSD. By incorporating internationally recognized tests, such as the PCL-5 and the Davidson Trauma Scale, each user can independently undergo testing, receive preliminary results, and obtain recommendations. The app creation process is expected to take up to six months.

Establishing a rehabilitation center

A psychological rehabilitation center will provide professional assistance to both veterans and civilians. Specialists at the center will use CAPS-5—the gold standard for diagnosing PTSD—along with other methods to develop individualized treatment plans. Such a center can be set up within twelve months.
